The EGTMA brings together golf & travel media professionals from all over Europe and creates a high value network for these media professionals to exchange information and knowledge. Close to 100 media professionals from more than 15 countries have already joined and more are seeing the benefits of adding membership of the EGTMA to their credentials.
Membership is available for credible journalists, wether it be from the traditional print media or web media.
The EGTMA runs around 6 media events every year at various destinations. A lot of the regions we have been fortunate to visit have received numerous accolades at various industry trade shows. For example, Belek in Turkey saw an EGTMA delegation visit the region for three consecutive years and this generated so much coverage that they are now very much at the forefront of golf tourism.

“We were very fortunate to have been selected to host the EGTMA Media Masters event back in 2007. All the golf clubs in the Belek region immediately agreed and we were able to showcase our product to around 30 journalists. The coverage generated from that event surpassed by far our expectations, hence we immediately agreed to host a second and third event which gave us the same results.”
Another region that has benefitted from EGTMA visits was the North & West Coast Links region in Ireland. John McLaughlin, Marketing Manager adds:”Our region has benefited enormously from the coverage we received through EGTMA members. Hence we were voted Europe’s Golf Destination of the Year at the 2010 IAGTO awards.”
In 2012, the EGTMA headed to Tunisia and Assaad Zmerli, General Manager for the Yasmine Valley Golf Club adds: ‘When we were introduced to the EGTMA last year, we were immediately interested in hosting an event. 26 golf and travel journalists have now seen that our country is very much open for business and golf is a major contributor. We are delighted with the results and coverage so far received.”
